How to Attend a Live Taping of The Daily Show

Attending a live taping of "The Daily Show" with Jon Stewart can be a great way to spend the afternoon if you live in or are visiting Manhattan. It is a relatively easy process and is also free. Here is how to attend a live taping of "The Daily Show."

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the official website of "The Daily Show" and reserve your tickets (see Resources below). You are limited to four tickets per taping.

    • 2

Print out your tickets once you have filled out all of the fields on the website. Printing the information is the only way that you will be allowed into the studio.

    • 3

Arrive at "The Daily Show" studio, located on 11th Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets in Manhattan, between 2:30 and 3:00 p.m. to ensure that you will actually receive tickets to the show. Every episode of "The Daily Show" is oversold to ensure that the studio will be filled to capacity. If you arrive too late, you may not get in for the taping.

    • 4

Make sure that anybody attending "The Daily Show" taping with you arrives at the studio no later than 4:30 p.m. Nobody is allowed into the line outside of the studio after 4:30, since that is when tickets are distributed to the waiting crowd.

    • 5

Remember to use the restroom and shut off your phone before entering the studio. You will not be permitted to reenter the studio if you exit, and you will be asked to leave if you use your cell phone while in the studio.
