How to Use USB to MIDI

Musical Instrument Digital Interface (MIDI) is a widely-used protocol for allowing musical devices to communicate across platforms. MIDI is most commonly used with a computer, in order to sync a digital instrument or controller with computer software. MIDI connections are not standard equipment on a computer. For this reason, you often must convert the MIDI cable into a USB connection. USB ports are standard on modern computers, and often even supply power to devices.
