Cite a broadcast television episode by listing the episode's title in quotation marks. Insert a period and in italics, write the series or program's name. Place a period after the name.
Name the network the episode was broadcast on followed by a period. List the station's call letters, a coma and the city the episode was broadcast in. Use a period and write the date of broadcast in the "day month year" format. Abbreviate the months of the year. After inserting a period, identify the medium of publication by writing "Television."
Use this example of a broadcast TV episode as a model: "Bloodline." Fringe. Fox. WOFL, Orlando. 25 March 2011. Television.
Cite a recorded TV episode by placing the episode's title in quotation marks. In italics, list the title of the recorded collection, followed by a period. Identify the writer and director using the abbreviations "Writ." and "Dir."
Write the name of the collection's distributor, a comma and the year of distribution. Put in a period and identify the publication medium For example: "DVD," "VHS" or "Laser disc."
Use the following as an example: "The One with the Jellyfish." Friends: The Complete Fourth Season. Writ. Will Calhoun. Dir. Shelley Jensen. Warner Brothers, 1998. VHS.
List the writer's last name, a comma, first initial and "Writer" in parentheses. Insert a comma and ampersand before also listing the director's name in the same format. Write in parentheses the date the episode was broadcast.
Name the episode's title and in brackets write "Television series episode." Write "In" followed by the producer's first initial, last name and "Producer" in parentheses. Use a comma before writing the series title in italics. Name the city and state the show was broadcast in, a colon and the network's name.
Reference the following example: Junge, A. (Writer), & Burrows, J. (Director). (1996, February 1). The one with the prom video [Television series episode]. In K. Bright (Producer), Friends. Orlando, FL: WKCF.
