How to Turn on Captions in Netflix

Netflix allows you to watch movies instantly from any Internet-connected laptop, media device or television. All you need to do is set up access to Netflix and log on to your account on your television or laptop device. When watching streaming movies, you can turn on captions from the movie or TV information screen. Not all movies currently have the option to watch captions. If the show you are watching has subtitles, you will see a "Subtitle | Audio" button on the screen.

     Launch Netflix and log onto your account using whichever instant streaming device you choose.

     Open the movie or television show that you want to watch.

     Click the "Subtitle | Audio" button. If the option is available for that movie, it displays automatically on the information screen for you to turn on. If it is not available you will not see the button to click.

     Choose the language you want to read captions in.

     Click the "Play" button.
