Visit Hartford, Connecticut and take a drive to the Cedar Hill Cemetery, located at 453 Fairfield Avenue. The cemetery is open to visitors at 7a.m. each morning, and the gates close at dusk.
Stroll along the west side of the Cedar Hill cemetery to Section 10 where you will find a large boulder engraved with the name Hepburn. A small, flat stone marks the final resting place of one of America's most famous and beloved screen stars.
Take the time to visit other historical gravestones after you have paid your respects to Katharine. The Cedar Hill cementery began in 1866 and is included on the National Register of Historic Places, as it is also the final resting place of Samuel Colt, famous inventor and manufacturer of firearms and Wallace Stevens, the poet.
Stroll along the cemetery paths and enjoy the fascinating historic tombstones to and from your visit to Katharine Hepburn's grave, many of which are works of art and certainly a trip through history.
