How to Visit George C. Scott's Unmarked Grave

George C. Scott was an actor best known for his roles in "The Hustler," "Anatomy of a Murder" and "Patton." He died in 1999 at the age of 71 and was buried in Westwood Village Memorial Park. Fans of Mr. Scott can visit his unmarked grave.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit Westwood Village Memorial Park in Westwood, California. The cemetery is located behind the large buildings on Wilshire Boulevard.

    • 2

Drive to the only cemetery entrance on Glendon Avenue. You'll find a small driveway directly next to the pink, stone skyscraper at the intersection of Glendon and Wilshire. Once on the driveway turn right into the cemetery gates. The cemetery is often confused with the Veteran's cemetery north of Wilshire.

    • 3

Visit the Westwood Village Memorial Park office located on the south side of the cemetery and ask for a map.

    • 4

Go to the southeast part of the cemetery, just east of the offices. You'll see the entrance to the Memorial Gardens. Continue going east past this entrance. George C. Scott is buried between the Memorial Gardens area and the cemetery drive.

    • 5

Locate Walter Matthau's grave. George C. Scott is buried immediately next to Matthau. You'll know Scott's grave because it's the only one in the area with a blank headstone.
