DVD inventory software helps organize and manage your DVD and Blu-Ray libraries.   1. Collectorz.com Movie Collector

    • With Collectorz.com's Movie Collector, you can manually type in titles or use one of the website's optional UPC scanners. With its Opticon OPN-2001 Laser Scanner, you can scan and store up to 10,000 bar codes into memory, without being connected to your computer. The program works on both Mac and PC, and even has an optional companion iPhone application. Collectorz.com offers a free trial of its software. As of May 2010, the full version costs $29.95 for standard and $49.95 for Pro; UPC scanners range from $19.95 to $139.95.

    Movie Finder

    • Movie Finder boasts several helpful features, including the ability to watch film trailers within the program. Its detailed "Selection" capabilities allow you to narrow down searches when trying to decide what movie to watch. The program also can run from a thumb drive, giving you the option to take it from computer to computer. Movie Finder runs on Windows, Mac and Linux, and can be purchased online for $29.95, as of May 2010.

    Readerware

    • Readerware can inventory LaserDiscs and VHS tapes, along with standard DVDs and Blu-Rays. It also has a drag and drop feature, allowing you to drag film titles directly from your Web browser into the program. As of May 2010, you can purchase the program from its website for Windows, Mac, and Linux for $40. Its Palm edition costs $50.

    All My Movies

    • All My Movies not only serves as inventory software, but can also play movies stored on your hard drive. It supports multiple languages and offers several searchable foreign film databases as well. With TV Series support, All My Movies can automatically add title and description information to each individual episode in a season. It even allows you to import your catalogs from other programs, such as Microsoft Excel. All My Movies is available for Windows only, and as of May 2010 can be purchased online for $39.95.
