How to Fix Menus in DVD Movies

Everyone has encountered this problem: You're excited to watch a DVD with your friends and family, you get your snacks ready, everyone crowds around the television to watch and then, the DVD won't play. Oftentimes, the source of the trouble is that the DVD menu won't properly load. Fortunately, there is a simple video program, entitled Fix VTS, that allows you to correct problematic DVD menus.

  1. Installing, Accessing and Using Fix VTS

      Turn on your computer, access your internet and search for "Fix VTS."

      Create a folder on your computer's C-drive and title the folder "Fix VTS."

      Download "Fix VTS" onto your computer and save it on your C-drive.

      Insert the problematic DVD into the DVD drive of your computer. Right click on the DVD icon and select "Open."

      Identify the "Video_TS" folder once you select open. Click and drag the Video_TS folder from the DVD across to your "Fix VTS" that you created earlier.

      Open the "Video_TS" folder on your hard drive once the copying process is complete.

      Open your "Fix VTS" download. Make sure the first two boxes are checked and leave the third box unchecked.

      Click the open button and navigate to the "Fix VTS" folder you created which contains the newly downloaded files. Open the folder and drag and drop the right file on the Fix VTS window; this file will be called "VIDEO_TS.VOB." Select this file from the open button and dialogue box or highlight it and drag and drop it to the Fix VTS window. Ensure that that the "Cleanup!" and "Full DVD" buttons are active in the Fix VTS window.

      Click the "Full DVD" button and let the program run until you get a message that reads "Done...End of Full DVD process." There will be a new folder on your hard drive titled "Fix VTSBackup."

      Open the Fix VTSBackup folder and make sure it contains the newly corrected DVD files. Move the entire FixVTSBackup folder and rename it if you want.

      Eject your DVD and insert it into the DVD player to ensure the DVD menu files are corrected.
