Instructions

  1. Front of Case

    • 1

Create an image for the front of the case. Upload the image from a camera or scan it onto your computer.

    • 2

Open the image in a photo editing program such as Adobe Photoshop or iPhoto. Most computers come with a basic photo editing program.

    • 3

Crop the image to the appropriate size. The average size of a DVD case is 190 x 135 x 14 mm.

    • 4

Edit the image's contrast and tone. The easiest way to do this is with auto adjust. The auto adjust feature is available on most photo editing programs.

    • 5

Add your title and information to the image. Using a photo editing program allows you to be more creative with the text. To add text, insert a text box and input the desired text.

    Back of Case

    • 6

Upload or scan your image to the computer.

    • 7

Open the image in a photo editing program.

    • 8

Crop to the appropriate size as described with the front of the case.

    • 9

Edit the image's contrast and tone. Use the same process as described for the front of the case.

    • 10

      Add text to your design.

    • 11

Open a program like Nero Express or an alternative editing program that creates DVD cases. (Alternatively, you can send your design to a manufacturer to print.)

    • 12

Insert the images into a blank project in the program.

    • 13

Print the design onto the desired paper and insert the paper into a blank DVD case.
