Instructions

    • 1

Sort through your movies and discard any that you no longer want from your collection.

    • 2

Create a catalog of the movies you keep by typing a numbered list in a word processing program on your computer. List your movies by title and include any other information--like genre or director--that you feel is necessary.

    • 3

Create labels matching the number of movies on your list. For example, if you have 50 movies on your list, write the numbers 1 through 50 on small round labels.

    • 4

Place the labels on the spine of the corresponding movie case.

    • 5

Place all of your movies into your storage system in numerical order according to the labels you have placed on the spines.

    • 6

Sort your list alphabetically by movie title using the sort function in the word processing program you used to create your list.

    • 7

Print the list and punch holes in the pages using a three-hole punch. Place the pages into a 3-ring binder. To find the movie that you are looking for, consult your list and find the title. Locate the number that will correspond to the number on the spine of the case and you will easily be able to locate the movie you are looking for.
