Instructions

    • 1

Start making scary bloody effects with makeup by either buying blood makeup, or making your own. Making your own fake blood is easy and can be made with items around the house, such as clear corn syrup and 20 drops of red food dye and two drops of blue food dye.

Decide what you would like to create when making scary bloody effects with makeup. This can range from a few wounds on the face or a bloody wound on the leg.

    • 3

Make an open cut on your face by outlining it with an eye pencil, then use a brush to apply the blood when you make scary bloody effects with makeup. If you wish to add texture, you can apply the blood more thickly with a makeup spatula.

Create a weeping wound. All you need is an IV bottle and some tubing, both of which are available at drug stores or medical supply stores. Fill the IV bottle part way with the blood and tape it to the "victim" with First Aid tape. Add an extra patch to the part of the clothing through which the blood will seep, and tape the end of the hose in place so that the blood will seep through the clothing and not down the person's body. A satisfying patch of blood will grow as the victim continues to bleed.

Add gelatin to the blood you made and let it set in the freezer. When the gelatin has stiffened the blood satisfactorily (this will be determined by you), apply it to the face or body to a make three-dimensional appearing wound. The makeup spatula works very well in this application.
