How to Make Leopard Spots With Makeup

If you are applying leopard makeup for Halloween or a school play, you might be faced with the dilemma of making a lot of little leopards in a short amount of time. Drawing the leopard spots by hand works for one child, but if you have to do several it ceases to be an option. An alternative is to make stamps out of makeup sponges, which will let you quickly apply a variety of spots.

Things You'll Need

Instructions

    • 1

Draw an irregular circle onto a makeup sponge with a thick marker.

    • 2

Use a sharp pair of cuticle scissors to trim away the sponge outside of the circle to a depth of 1/4-inch.

    • 3

Use the scissors to trim away the sponge inside of the circle to the same depth, leaving a ring of raised sponge.

    • 4

Repeat this process with several sponges to create rings of different shapes and sizes. Leave some of the sponges with solid circles, skipping Step 3.

    • 5

Dip the first sponge into water, and then rub it against a container of brown or black pancake makeup. The water will activate the makeup, soaking it into the sponge.

    • 6

Gently press the sponge against the face or body, using it as a stamp to leave spots behind.

    • 7

Alternate sponges to leave a variety of spots in the area you are trying to fill with spots.
