The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) Fellowship Grant is open to major film schools in the United States to support their scholarship projects. This yearly program allows awarded colleges and universities to administer their individual grant selection of film scholars needing financial aid to continue their education. Qualified students include those in the fields of directing, cinematography, screenwriting, producing, editing, acting and production design. Recipients can use the fellowship funds for their tuition fees and other direct educational expenses and costs associated with the production of their student film projects.

The Women in Film Los Angeles' Women in Film Foundation Scholarship program offers financial assistance to women filmmakers enrolled in graduate programs of any major film schools in the Los Angeles area and other parts of the U.S. Accredited schools nominate students for the program based on academic merit, artistic achievement and financial need. Film grants under the umbrella of the program include: Meredith Mac Rae Memorial Scholarship; WIF Crystals Scholarships; Verna Fields Memorial Fellowship; Women In Film/Loreen Arbus Endowment; Women In Film/Tichi Wilkerson Kassel Endowment; Eleanor Perry Writing Award; and Bruce Paltrow Endowment. Offered scholarship grants vary in each participating film school.
