You will need, water, soap, pepper and a cup for this simple trick. Ask a volunteer to put his fingers into the cup of water. Ask the volunteer to separate the pepper from the water. Frustrated, the volunteer walks away in defeat. You put your fingers into the water, and, voila...the water separates!
The secret is simple. Before the show, the magician rubbed his fingers with soap.
Find a queen and four numbered black cards. Arrange the five cards in a line overlapping each other with the queen placed in the middle. Leave about half an inch showing so that the face of the cards can be seen.
Now, glue them together. Get a large paper clip, preferably a colorful one. For the show say, "An evil queen, in the kingdom of Odd, has declared an end to every pickle. Prince Pickle, upon hearing the news, tries to throw the queen into the dungeon, but she escapes.
Oh no, I think I see her, let's get her now."
Then show the cards facing towards the audience, so they can see the queen is smiling in the middle.
Ask for a volunteer. After turning the cards to face you, the volunteer is asked to move the paperclip over the queen. Using your best flourish, face the cards to the audience and the paperclip is not anywhere around the queen. Where did she go?
Ask the audience for a coin. Put it in your left hand and while making a big scene to show everyone what you are doing, place it in your right hand. Using a load of flourish, make your hands into fists, but as you do it throw the coins into your left hand. Be prepared to practice this. In front of your audience, open your hands to show that the coin jumped into the other hand.
Cut a slit about 3 inches long in a straw. For the performance, thread some string through straw. Fold the straw while carefully covering the cut in the center.
When the straw is folded, make sure no one sees you pull the ends of string down and out through the slit in the straw. In your hand is the string fold, very safe.
Using scissors, cut the straw in half, (remember the string is in your hand and safe). Using much flourish, separate the straw ends to show you really did cut it. Then pull out the string...totally uncut,
