What was objective?

Objective can refer to several things:

* In general, an objective is a goal or purpose that someone or something is trying to achieve. For example, a person might have the objective of losing weight, or a company might have the objective of increasing profits.

* In philosophy, objectivity refers to the ability of a person to make judgments without being influenced by personal feelings or beliefs. For example, a scientist should be objective when conducting experiments, and not let their personal beliefs about the outcome affect the results.

* In grammar, an objective is a noun or pronoun that is the object of a verb or preposition. For example, in the sentence "The boy threw the ball," "ball" is the object of the verb "threw."

* In law, objective refers to something that is based on facts and not on opinions or feelings. For example, in a criminal trial, the prosecution must present objective evidence that the defendant committed a crime, such as eyewitness testimony or physical evidence.
