The Copacabana is located in midtown Manhattan at the corner of 34th Street and 11th Avenue. The Copa, as it is known by many locals, is an 18-and-up club that features authentic Latin music and salsa and merengue dancing. For those new to Latin dancing or for those who simply want to brush up on their skills, the Copacabana offers free Latin dance lessons nightly from 6 to 8 pm. The enormous club can hold as many as 4,000 guests at one time and guests can party till dawn on the weekends when the club stays open until 5 a.m. Each Friday night, guests are treated to the sounds of New York City's own Pulse 87 FM DJ Andre the Drey Dog, who spins live from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
