Rub a Dub is a weekly event that happens every Sunday at the Mint Lounge on Oldham Street. Admission is free, doors open at 8 and things tend to go on til the wee hours. In addition to dance hall the DJs at Rub a Dub play a healthy selection of ska, dub, rock steady and reggae. The Mint Lounge boasts a full bar, dress code is casual and admission is open to anyone 18 and up.

Blood and Fire is a weekly club night that goes off every Thursday at the Arch. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. and the club goes til midnight, which makes it a very doable night out during the week. Admission is free and the bar at the Arch is full. Blood and Fire is also a record label and the club features a rotating roster of some of the city's best reggae DJs playing dance hall, dub, ska, rock steady and roots reggae. Admission open to 18+.

Luvdub is a reggae DJ night that happens the last Friday of the month at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology's student union. Luvdub features a rotating roster of DJs and MCs as well as occasional live acts. The musical programming at Luvdub consists of dance hall, ska, dub, roots reggae and rock steady. Doors open at 10 p.m. and things go on til 3 a.m. The crowd at Luvdub tends to be on the young side and bar at UMIST student union only does beer and wine.
