Copenhagen Night Clubs

The nightclubs in Copenhagen offer an exciting behind-the-scenes glimpse of the city's tireless energy. A late night city, the dance floors only begin to fill up around midnight, but they stay full until the sun comes up. With many clubs open until sunrise, most venues include plenty of seating and lounge areas where the atmosphere builds from social to all out dance parties. DJs and bands play a wide range of music from rock and hip hop, to electronic and 80s dance. Most clubs feature live performers followed by parties with local, dressed down crowds.

      As one of Copenhagen's most recognized night clubs, Vega is on the top of many travelers' lists. With multiple stages, the venue presents Danish rock bands and international performers. The space includes a lounge area designed for socializing, a large dance floor, and a full bar. In addition to live music, Vega presents DJs, festivals, fashion shows and dance acts. Housed in a former trade union building from 1956, the venue's classic Scandinavian structure has a well preserved interior including tiled floors from the 50s and a 60s mural on the bar. Stylish dress is fitting for this trendy club, perfect for meeting people or bringing a date.

    Rust, Spillested & Natklub

    • Dance Floor

      Established in 1989, Rust, Spillested & Natklub is simply referred to as Rust. Situated in the trendy north section of the city, also home to art galleries and bistros, Rust attracts a high-energy, international clientele. The space offers a restaurant, an outdoor yard and bar, a large free-style dance floor, and simple furnishings. Presenting live music every Thursdays, Rust provides dim lighting with hip hop and R&B on the main dance floor, and a small lower lever with a classic disco floor playing electronic music. Open Wednesday through Sunday to a 21 plus crowd, the covers are relatively pricey, but once inside there's a refreshingly laid back vibe.

    Stengade 30

    • Live Music

      Stengade 30 is a local favorite located in Norrebro. Open Tuesdays through Sunday, the club offers a distinctly underground feel for those looking to experience a taste of contemporary Danish culture. Danish bands and international performers play their best shows here, as well as dancers and the city's hottest DJs. The space's dark lighting, minimal decor and scattered seating areas keep everyone's focus on the large dance floors crowded with music lovers. With no dress code, the atmosphere is casual, and live music is followed by all-night parties.
