Nuremberg (or Nürnberg in German), is a German city located in the state of Bavaria. A population of over 500,000 brings a relatively large nightlife culture. While most clubs seem to favor the traditional, techno-oriented European dance club style, you will also find a variety of pleasing alternatives in this energetic city.

  1. Mach I

    • Mach 1 is a large dance club located in the city center. There are three different bars and two dance floors where DJs spin various styles of electronic music such as techno, house and other styles of European dance music. The place is darkly lit and has a superior sound system and light technology, as well as smoke machines, disco balls, and other dance club essentials.

    Club Stereo

    • For an escape from the standard, techno-oriented European dance clubs, check out Club Stereo for some reggae, funk, soul, indie, Brit-pop, and other alternative music styles brought to you in a high-energy dance setting. The club has a dark cellar-type atmosphere, centering on a large wooden dance floor illuminated by lights and a revolving disco ball. Keep in mind that Stereo begins to fill up at around midnight--a little later than most clubs in Nuremberg.

    Loom

    • Loom is a restaurant, night club and cocktail lounge that appeals to a crowd mostly between the ages of 18 and 25. Loom´s menu offers mostly pizzas, pastas, salads, and some desserts. Their long list of drinks includes a reputable list of expertly mixed cocktails. Patrons may enjoy their drinks in a stylish lounge with glowing red cube PVC furniture. DJs spin mostly European house and techno. There is also an outdoor patio with seating.

    Hirsch

    • Hirsch is a multi-purpose venue featuring live acts, DJs, special parties and corporate events, as well as its own separate bar and restaurant. The club is known for hosting up-and-coming local acts as well as a number of nationally and internationally renowned artists--some of whom began their careers here at Hirsch. The music is eclectic, ranging from jazz and rock to all kinds of electronic music such as house, jungle and drum 'n' bass. Unlike many Nuremberg clubs, Hirsch is also open on Sundays.
