First Avenue is a dance club at the corner of 1st Avenue and 7th Street that has been open since 1970; this club started out as a Greyhound bus depot back in the 1930's. Live music by local artists is played practically every night and the music this club plays varies from artists, such as 311 to The Fugees. Many national musicians including, U2 and Eminem, performed at First Avenue as a stepping stone.

The Lounge is a night club located off of 2nd Avenue in the Warehouse District between 4th and 5th Street; as of February 2010, the Lounge is open from Thursdays through Sundays until 2 a.m. for those who are 21 and over. Currently, hip hop and the top 40 is played on Friday nights while on Saturday nights, hip hop is played along with dance and mashups. On Sundays, reggae and dancehall music are played. Booths are available for reservation and bottle service is also available for your favorite spirits.

Lyon's Pub is a neighborhood pub located on 6th Street between Nicollet and Hennepin that plays dance music for the night scene. The music includes retro music along with the Top 40 dance tunes for guests to enjoy. If they prefer not to dance, guests also have the option of enjoying the free popcorn or relaxing in one of the cozy lounge areas.
