Face your partner. Place your right hand above the waist of your partner, while she places her left hand on your shoulder. Take her right hand in your left and hold it several inches from your shoulder.

    • 2

Step forward twice with your right foot, while your partner steps backward twice with her left foot. Each set of steps should take place within two beats. Switch sides. Repeat this step eight times.

Take three sliding steps to your left and your partner's right. Each sliding step lasts two beats. Follow this immediately with three quicker sliding steps to the lead's left.
