Oklahoma Country Dance Clubs

Oklahoma is a Great Plains state with 60 % of its population living in either Oklahoma City or Tulsa, according to the 2006 US Census. These vast lands are home to attractions such as Route 66, various casinos and Native American reservations. Popular activities include rock climbing, hiking and visiting the many museums. For those wanting night time fun, there are many country dance clubs throughout the state of Oklahoma to choose from.

  1. Coyote Ugly Saloon

    • Made popular by the 2000 movie "Coyote Ugly," the original bar opened in 1993 in New York City. Coyote Ugly in Oklahoma City is located in the Bricktown area and is open seven days a week. Private parties and media events can be booked at this venue for your next social gathering. Although many guests participate in the Coyote Ugly tradition of dancing on the bar, there is indeed a dance floor adjacent to the bar as well. Coyote Ugly plays a mix of country and rock music and its decor resembles an old west saloon with its large wooden bar and worn wood floors.

    Club Rodeo

    • Club Rodeo guarantees a fun time for all of its patrons, whether they enjoy country music or not. Open Thursday through Sunday, Club Rodeo is a unique dance club that features a honky-tonk style atmosphere complete with an indoor bull riding area with live bulls. Club Rodeo has a Lady's Night every Wednesday and features nightly drink specials. One of the patrons' favorite features is the line dancing that everyone enjoys.

    R&B Country

    • Located just off of Interstate 44 in Miami, R& B Country is a country dance club that has a 5,500 foot dance floor with music provided by D.J. Jimmy Stone. The interior of the club is reminiscent of the old west with two bars, one of which is the Lizard Lounge that serves only beer, wine and soda, as well as the Cool Shack that serves a variety of steaks, burgers and chicken dishes. This venue also has live bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

    Wild Horse Saloon

    • The Wild Horse Saloon in Tulsa is a part of the Electric Cowboy chain of country and dance night clubs. It's a modern country dance club with a spacious dance floor and a spectacular light show. In addition to country, some nights of the week the DJ spins a mix that includes dance favorites. Weekly events include free admission with your cowboy hat, $1domestic longneck beers, and Sunday night karaoke and amateur pole dancing contests.
