Virginia Dance Clubs

Although Virginia, which shares borders with five states and Washington, D.C., has plenty of beautiful scenery, the slogan most often associated with the state is "Virginia is for Lovers." Dance clubs across Virginia provide nightly entertainment, with many featuring the kind of southern music associated with states like Virginia.

  1. Peabody's

    • Peabody's has been part of Virginia Beach's night scene since 1967. The club features a large dance floor and several disc jockeys. The music at Peabody's is a blend of top 40 hits with some country music thrown in. The club caters to women age 18 and older and men 21 and older. The dance floor at Peabody's is crowded most nights, as the club offers several promotional events such as Ladies Night and College Night. Peabody's also features teen nights, allowing those between the ages of 13 and 17 to have a night of dancing.

    Club Infuzion

    • Club Infuzion is one of the largest dance clubs in Richmond. The club features three different dance floors and three bars. For a more intimate evening, patrons can rent one of four VIP lounges in the club. Infuzion's lighting system is designed to enhance the dancing and music experience. On some nights the club features local DJs who play the latest pop music. Flat-screen televisions have been placed throughout the club, which is proud of its sound system.

    Vault

    • The downtown Richmond bar known as Vault is part of a restaurant-club combination. By day, the place is known as Bank, which serves American cuisine. At night, the establishment becomes Vault, a hip dance club and bar. Vault features live music as well as local and national DJs. Vault offers lounge areas that can be rented for private parties. Richmond Magazine describes the vibe of Vault as "warehouse chic."

    The Banque

    • Since 1973, The Banque has been offering food and dance to patrons. The Banque was voted best nightclub with a restaurant by the Best of Norfolk 2009. The club offers two dance floors and plays current and classic country music. Patrons can take dance lessons at The Banque to learn country and western music moves. The club caters to people age 18 and older. The restaurant at The Banque sells classic American food and bar snacks such as chicken fingers and cheeseburgers.
