    • Founded in 1996, Dakota Spirit is South Dakota's first youth cheerleading organization and offers a cheer curriculum for pre-school through college students. The lessons range from private lessons to team and club lessons and tumbling to training camps.The organization has won honors on a local, regional and national level.

    USD Cheer

    • The University of South Dakota Coyote Cheer Squad is an impressive ensemble of cheerleaders who amp up fans and players during games with their dance skills, acrobatics, cheer lifts and formations. All members of the squad must be enrolled at USD. The squad is led by a captain and spirit adviser.

    • Buckles and Bows Square Dance Club covers a broad range of skill levels and talent. The dancing levels are broken down according to skill, from basic to easy and plus dance through phase II. Dance club meetings are held year-round at the Spearfish Senior Center, with time slots designated by skill level.
