How to Do the Ice Cream Freeze Dance

The Charleston, the hustle, the moonwalk, the jerk: Add to the list of dance crazes the ice cream freeze dance from Miley Cyrus. Cyrys became a tween sensation through her Disney Chanel television show "Hannah Montana," in which she plays a teenager who lives a double life as both a normal teenager and a pop princess. The song "Ice Cream Freeze" is on her 2009 album "Hannah Montana 3." The song about frozen treats sparked the ice cream freeze dance.

      Step forward with right foot while swinging the right arm up and back and around then step with the left foot while swinging the left arm up and back and around when the lyrics say "do the ice cream." Bring right foot next to the left, and place your right fist under your chin and your left arm horizontally across chest below your right arm on the word "freeze."

      Place both hands on hips.When the lyrics say "strike your pose" sweep the floor with the right foot toward the right, bend that knee at a 90-degree angle, and lift the leg out to the side making the bottom of the right foot face the side. Immediately repeat motion in the opposite direction in front of the left leg.

      Keep both hands on hips. Pop your right foot so that the ball of the foot touches the ground and the heel is up. Sit into left hip. Bend left knee, letting the right knee face outward and then straighten left knee and twist the right knee inward to create a bouncing motion. Repeat motion twice when the lyrics say "then you do the milk shake." Stay in the popped-foot position, and put both arms up at face level and flick your wrists forward four times while bending both knees when the lyrics say "shake it shake it down low."

      Step forward with right foot. Put your head down and reach both arms straight forward from the shoulders. Lift your head, and allow your body to roll forward when the lyrics say "do the snow cone." Bring both hands down to your sides and the left foot up to meet the right on "slide."

      Step to the left, dragging your right foot, and push the right arm forward and then to the right when the lyrics say "left." Step to the right, dragging the left foot, and push the left arm forward and then to the left when the lyrics say "to right."

      Kick your left leg toward the right about 5 inches above the ground while crossing your arms over each other across the chest. Place left foot on the ground, put both arms to your sides at a 90-degree angle and point your hands down. Keep arms at your sides at a 90-degree angle and point your hands up.

      Keep both hands in the air. Bounce knees twice, waving your hands left on the first bounce and right on the second when the lyrics say "we can party all night."
