An acorn and a pumpkin met,
One day upon the ground.
The acorn was so very small,
The pumpkin, large and round.
"Hello," said the acorn,
"My name is Tiny Tim.
I'm going to grow into a tree,
And bear lots of fruit for him.
"What's your name?" the pumpkin asked.
"My name is Peter Pump," replied the pumpkin.
"I'm going to grow into a big,
Beautiful pumpkin for you to eat."
The acorn and the pumpkin grew together,
Side by side in the sun.
The acorn grew into a mighty oak,
And the pumpkin grew into a giant pumpkin.
The oak tree provided shade for the pumpkin,
And the pumpkin provided food for the oak tree.
They were best friends,
And they lived happily ever after.
Interpretation:
The acorn and the pumpkin represent two different people who come from different backgrounds and have different goals in life. The acorn is small and humble, but it has big dreams of growing into a mighty tree. The pumpkin is large and impressive, but it is content with its role as a food source for others.
