How did Guns Roses meet?

Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, and Tracii Guns formed a band called Hollywood Rose in March 1983 that merged with L.A. Guns formed by Ole Beich and Rob Gardner who then recruited Tracii Guns to help the group find a singer. Izzy joined Guns N' Roses as their rhythm guitarist shortly before Axl. It would not be until December that the classic Guns N' Roses lineup would start forming with Slash filling the lead guitar position shortly followed by Duff McKagan joining as the bassist and finally with drummer Steven Adler rounding out the group.
