How to Load Audiobooks Onto iTunes

Loading audio books onto iTunes is relatively straightforward in theory, but in practice it can prove to be a lot more difficult. One of the reasons is that all audio books usually consist of many CDs, which are in turn divided into many individual tracks. This makes audio books time consuming to load onto iTunes and hard to manage once loaded. There are, however, certain ways to make this process at little easier for you.

Instructions

    • 1

Insert the first disc of your audio book into your computer's disc drive. iTunes should automatically open and display the CD's tracks.

    • 2

Hold down "tab" and click on the first track and then the last, so that all the tracks are highlighted. Go to "Advanced" at the top of the screen and select "Join CD Tracks" from the drop-down menu.

    • 3

Select "Submit CD Track Names" from the "Advanced" menu. Fill out the information of your audio book in the "CD Info" box that appears on the screen.

    • 4

Click "OK" when you have filled in the information. Select "Books and Spoken" in the "Select CD Category" box that appears and click "OK." Click "OK" again when the box stating "The CD information was successfully sent to the Gracenote CDDB service" appears.

    • 5

Click on "Import." Eject the CD when it has finished importing.

    • 6

Repeat all the above steps with the remaining CDs in your audio book.
