List of Book Publishing Companies

Book publishing companies print and distribute literature and other content to the public. Publishing houses often focus on a certain type of book, or, more broadly, on trade books or academic books. Many large publishing companies acquire a range of smaller publishers or imprints. Though some publishing companies have begun to put their content on the Internet, most companies’ primary publishing medium remains the hard-copy book.
