How to Cite a Book With No Publisher in APA Style

"Show your work!" Math students hear these familiar words when they're given a test or a homework assignment. If you're an author, however, the same imperative applies to you. The ethical demands of scholarship require you to document the sources you use in your research and in the writing of your article, paper or book, even if there is no publisher for your document. This can be the case with some electronic resources. The American Psychological Association (APA) provides specific guidelines for source documentation. Follow the guidelines of the APA if you wish to cite a book that has no publisher.
