Go out for a walk or search your backyard for interesting sticks and twigs. Collect a few more twigs than you think you'll need to complete the picture frame.
Rinse the twigs off under running water to remove any pollen, dirt or debris.
Plug in the hot glue gun to give it time to warm up before use.
Decide how you would like to orient the twigs on the picture frame to create an artistic design or texture. You can orient them in a vertical, horizontal, diagonal, or in a circular design. Trim the twigs with gardening shears so that they will be able to fit onto the frame as you design.
Place a bead of hot glue onto the back of each twig piece. Place each twig in its respective place on the picture frame.
Allow the hot glue to dry completely before transporting the picture frame.
