Bookmarks are one of the simplest crafts to make and this verse bookmark can be easily made with a few materials. Choose a verse from the Bible that can fit into a pre-cut bookmark found in craft stores, or cut out your own from heavy construction paper. Print out the verse on a piece of paper using a nice font and color, cut it out and glue it on the bookmark. Punch a hole on top of the bookmark, then tie a yarn through it. You can also decorate the bookmark using markers and glitter.
To make a Nativity wall hanging, you'll need scissors, different colored felt, fabric glue and a hanger. You must first cut a piece of felt as wide as the hanger and about 20 inches in height or however large you want it to be. Keep at least two inches of the top free so you can fold it over the hanger. Cut out figures for the Nativity scene such as sheep, stars, a barn, Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, the three kings and maybe some hay, camels and an angel. Simply glue these figures onto the piece of felt that will be attached to the hanger. When you are finished gluing all the pieces, fold the two inches of fabric over the hanger and secure by gluing or sewing.
Making a bean bag fish requires materials such as a large sock, yarn, glue gun or fabric glue, bean bag fill, and plastic googly eyes. Fill the sock with bean bag fill until you are satisfied that it has taken the form of a fish. Once you have the body shaped, tie a piece of yarn around the end and cut off the excess fabric, making sure to leave enough to form a tail. Use a glue gun or fabric glue to stick googly eyes on each side of the fish. You can also use blue socks to make a whale, or dye the sock blue.
To make a paper angel, place a plastic or paper cup with the opening facing down on a table. Use strands of yellow yarn for the hair of the angel, and cut them to the desired length. Glue the yarn over the top of the cup and cut smaller pieces to create bangs. Cut a piece of gold or silver cord and wrap it around the middle of the cup. Next, draw a pair of wings on white or yellow construction paper, then cut them out and glue them to the back of the cup so they protrude from the sides. Finally, using markers, draw the face, arms and hands of the angel on the front of the cup.
