Instructions

    • 1

Measure length and width. Multiply by two to get the length needed for binding.
Make sure the binding has two sides, or fold it in half lengthwise to create a two sided length.

    • 2

Pin the binding down one length of the blanket making sure to catch both sides of the satin binding.

    • 3

When you reach the end of the first length, pin the binding to the edge. Using a 90 degree flat-fold, turn the corner. Remove the initial corner pin and use it to pin down the flat folded corner so there are no pins hidden in the folds.

    • 4

Repeat the process along the edge, turning all corners

    • 5

Press down all corners. Make sure pins are in place and none are hidden in corner folds.

    • 6

Stitch around all edges so as to catch the blanket and two layers of the satin binding. Use decorative stitching or a zigzag stitch to enhance the edges.
