Crafts festivals are a fun experience for the whole family. Children can see how different crafts are made, and adults can find inspiration to start crafting themselves or even to begin a business. There are a variety of craft fairs, festivals and shows around Illinois.
  1. Harvest Daze Craft Show

    • The Harvest Daze Craft Show is held every autumn in Watseka and is sponsored by the Iroquois County Historical Society. Admission is free but donations are welcome and go towards preserving the Old Courthouse Museum, where the show is held. Food is available, there's a fireworks display each night of the show, and there's also a scarecrow-decorating competition.

    Gold Coast Art Fair

    • The Gold Coast Art Fair in Chicago is a display of arts and crafts that attracts artists and visitors from around the country. Located at Grant Park, the fair runs for three days every August.

    • The Lake Arts and Crafts Show happens each August in Oak Park and showcases the work of a variety of artists. Local shops, restaurants and hotels support and advertise this huge show.
