Some of the largest and top rated arts and craft shows in the country are held in Atlanta, Ga. every year. Atlanta is a cultural hot spot, and the city showcases its appreciation of the arts through its many diverse shows and festivals that highlight the works of visual artists, musicians, performers and craftsmen.
  1. The American Craft Council Show

    • The American Craft Council Show is an indoor juried art show featuring the works of fine craft artists from around the country. Handmade artisan home decor, jewelry, clothing and furnishings are available for purchase. Live demonstrations are given by experts on the topics of glass, jewelry, fiber, wood and ceramics. Special highlights include works of eco-friendly artists and a collection of art to purchase for under $100. The show is held yearly in early March.

    American Gem Expo

    • The American Gem Expo is an indoor jewelry art show and exhibition featuring exhibitors from around the country selling ready-to-wear jewelry and accessories and quality jewelry supplies and findings. Wire wrapping, crystals, gemstones, pearls and glass-working supplies are available for purchase. Local and national artists sell handmade gifts, necklaces, earrings and fashion accessories. Exhibitors include wholesalers and retailers, as well as local artists and designers. The show is held yearly in early January.

    Black Heritage Art Show

    • The Black Heritage Art Show is an indoor art show that showcases visual, performing, fashion, film and literary arts. Artists, performers and speakers showcase their talents throughout the event. There are featured performances and motivational speeches given throughout the event, and there is a literary cafe and a healthcare pavilion open to attendees. The show celebrates African-American culture and takes place during Black History month in February. The show is open to the community.

    Dogwood Festival of the Arts

    • The Dogwood Festival of the Arts is a juried arts festival featuring the works of more than 250 artists from around the country. Artists sell their handmade works in the artists' market. Works in glass, clay, photography, leather, metal, sculpture, wood, painting and mixed media are available for purchase. The event also includes live entertainment, a high school art exhibition and kids' activities. The show is open to the public and is held yearly in early April.
