Assist the toddler in painting a wooden spoon yellow. Allow to dry. Cut a small triangular beak out of some orange craft foam, and glue this on to the back of the wooden spoon head. Glue two googly eyes above the beak as to complete the face. Finish the chick by gluing yellow feathers up the handle of the wooden spoon, leaving a small space at the bottom so the puppet can be held.
Paint a paper plate pink and leave to dry. Next, cut out two eye holes from the paper plate. Get a white pipe cleaner and cut it into three equal pieces. Twist these three pieces together in the center, then glue to the middle of the plate to act as whiskers. Using pink construction paper, cut out a circular nose, and glue over the center of the pipe cleaners, as to conceal the twisted join. Again using pink construction paper, cut out two long ears and glue to the top of the paper plate. Draw on the bunny's mouth with black marker pen. Finally, punch two holes on either side of the paper plate and tie elastic thread through them, so that the mask can be worn around the head.
Draw several large ovals onto white construction paper. Cut these ovals out with scissors. Using coloring pens, allow the toddler to decorate these Easter egg shapes with Christian symbols, such as crosses and doves. When decorating is complete, punch a hole in the top of the Easter egg shape. Thread a piece of ribbon through and tie a knot at the end. You can now hang these religious-themed Easter eggs around a room as a decoration.
Fill an empty egg carton up with strips of green tissue paper to replicate grass. Cut small triangles from yellow construction paper, and glue these to the outside of some empty egg shells, to act as beaks. With a black marker, gently draw on two circular eyes on the egg shell, just above the beak. Complete the egg shells by gluing a small yellow feather on top of the chicks' heads. Place them in the egg carton to complete your chick's nest.
