How to Make a Stuffed Animal for Plants Vs. Zombies

The colorful characters from Popcap's "Plants vs. Zombies" work well as plush, stuffed animals. The sturdy Wall-nut is an especially helpful character that sacrifices itself as an edible wall to the zombie horde. Its simple shape allows the heroic tree nut to be formed into a stuffed animal that is more functional as a pillow than a defense from the undead. You will need to focus on sewing skills as opposed to gardening to bring your plush Wall-nut to life.

Instructions

    • 1

Trace a football shaped template on the brown fabric with your pencil and cut it out with the scissors.

    • 2

Stitch the brown fabric together along the edges to create a football shape. Leave an opening at the base of the Wall-nut for stuffing.

    • 3

Cut two large symmetrical circles from the white fabric. Sew a black dot on each circle to create the eye's pupils. Sew the white eyes onto the upper half of the Wall-nut.

    • 4

Sew a small black smile below the wide eyes. Wall-nuts gradually lose their cheery grin as they are eaten by Zombies though, so consider adding variant expressions to your stuffed Wall-nut.

    • 5

Fill the Wall-nut with cotton balls and sew up the base of the plush.

    • 6

Place the stuffed Wall-nut in a ceramic flower pot for a lighthearted decorative effect.
