How to Make Korean Cards

Making a personalized card for a friend or family member offers both the gift of your time and creativity. Making a card for a Korean loved one is a simple matter of using a translation program to convert your message into Korean characters. You can research Korean art themes to add a touch of Korea's classical art style to your card, or incorporate elements of the Korean culture into the design presentation of your card.

Instructions

    • 1

Consider what images you plan to use in your card design. Research Korean styles of art online to get a sense of the style of Korean art.

    • 2

Determine the message for your greeting card, considering what you will say for both the inside and outside of the card.

    • 3

Enter each message into the online Korean translation program on your computer. Write down the Korean ideograms that the translation program provides you. You may want to practice drawing these characters a few times before you write them on your card. Consider the size of the characters, in relation to the images you plan on using on your card.

    • 4

Fold a piece of standard-size card stock in half, end to end. Draw, paint, or glue on the images you designed for your card. Write your messages on the inside and outside of the card.

    • 5

Read the customs online the Korean people have regarding receiving gifts to acquaint yourself with how your Korean gift recipient may respond to your card.
