Wrap the unframed print in acid-free tissue paper. Both the front and back of the print require tissue paper.
Fold four pieces of paper around the corners of the unframed print with tape. This prevents the tissue-wrapped print from moving around when it is placed between pieces of cardboard.
Place at least two pieces of cardboard on the front and back of the print, then wrap the entire print with packing tape. This prevents the print from bending as well as from becoming damaged by fingerprints and bodily oils when it is handled.
Place the print in a box that is large enough to fit it but not too large that the print moves around continuously inside the box as it is in transit.
