How to Draw Football Stuff

"Football stuff" can be a pretty general term, but there's not a huge variety of paraphernalia that can be drawn - it's usually confined to the footballs and helmets. Footballs are easy to draw, while helmets are slightly more complex.

These basic drawings can be used for stenciling a child's walls, decorating school binders and mugs or used on a team's congratulations sign.

Instructions

  1. Footballs

    • 1

Draw a horizontal oval 4 inches long and 2 and 1/2 inches tall, with two pointed ends.

    • 2

Draw a straight line from one pointed end to the other. This is the seam on the football.

    • 3

Draw a rectangle over the central one-third of the seam. The rectangle will be approximately 1/4 inch tall.

    • 4

Draw four rectangles crossed over the central rectangle at regular intervals approximately 1/2 inch tall and 1/4 inch wide.

    Helmets

    • 5

Draw a circle 4 inches wide. Leave the circle one-third incomplete. Note that the incomplete section will be where the face and neck of the helmet are, and position the circle accordingly.

    • 6

Starting at the top of the helmet, draw a curved line heading inward and then down, to cover a portion of the side of the face and the ear of the person wearing the helmet. Beneath the ear of the helmet continue the curved line to the back of the helmet where the neck is. You have drawn the major part of the helmet.

    • 7

In the section of the helmet that covers the ear, draw a circle 1/2 inch wide.

    • 8

Protruding from the circle you drew in step 3, draw a capital "A" shape on its side so that the legs of the "A" are horizontal and pointing away from the helmet.
