How to Erase Dry Erase Markers
Dry erase markers are a great tool for communicating information on a whiteboard. With various colors and sizes available, dry erase markers are easy to use and clean up. Because there are a few different types of dry eraser boards -- Everwhite, melamine and porcelain -- the proper procedure for removing the dry erase marker will vary. The amount of time the marker is left on the whiteboard will be a determining factor, as well. The following steps provide a way to remove dry erase markers from any whiteboard surface.
- Dry erase markers
- Hand-held eraser
- Clean cloth
- Alcohol solvent

Erase the marker dust with the hand-held eraser.

Gently spray the alcohol solvent over the remaining marker prints on the dry erase board.

Wipe the alcohol solvent completely off the board removing any remaining marker blemish.

Allow the dry erase board to dry before writing on the surface again.
