Compose the information needed for the art event flyer on a sheet of paper or using a design or word processing program on a computer. Include the event title and purpose in large, bold lettering. Also include the exhibiting artists' names, the date, time and location of the event, and any additional information like if there is an entry fee. Include a small map or a brief set of directions if the location is not well known or you are advertising in a wide area.
Add a relevant design, picture or photograph on the art flyer. It can be a piece of artwork that can be seen at the art event or a reflection of what the art event will be. The design can be located above, below, or in any corner of the flyer. Ensure the design compliments the event and does not distract from the information on the flyer.
Print the art flyers in any size from 4-1/4 by 5-1/2 inches to 22 by 28 inches. Print the flyers in non-standard sizes to attract more attention to them, like 4-1/4 by 9 inches. Make 50 or less copies for small events that can hold up to 50 people. Make up to 20,000 copies for large-scale events like festivals that can hold thousands of people.
