How to Make Tinkerbell on Stage

J.M. Barrie's play "Peter Pan" debuted in 1904. In the original version, Tinkerbell was created by using a light and a mirror to throw the light on the stage. In later versions of the play, a simple spotlight or laser pointer was used to create Tinkerbell, which didn't give the same shimmering effect as the light and mirror. After the play's debut, Barrie suggested listing the shimmering Tinkerbell in the program as played by "Jenny Wren" because so many children asked him why she wasn't in the program.
