Search The Cirque website. It lists the various discipline from which they recruit performers including actors, clowns, dancers, musicians, singers, divers, gymnasts and "circus arts."
Register online as an applicant. After selecting your discipline, you must register as an applicant and provide a brief resume of your skills including training, level of achievement and contact information. Once registered, you will receive information on where to submit your audition photos and an audio/videotape of your skills.
Send in your photos and audition tape to be reviewed by Cirque's casting team.
Get invited to an audition. If your skills meet Cirque's current or projected requirements, you will be invited to audition. Auditions can last from 1 hour to 2 days. You will be told immediately whether your skills make the cut.
Wait for the role. A successful audition will get your name into the pool of candidates; you will be called up to join the troupe when a part for your particular skills becomes available.
Join the troupe. New performers start their career with Cirque in a training program adapted to their particular discipline. After successfully completing training, performers are hired on as artists and begin transitioning to a show.
