Where is globe theatre located?

Globe Theatre is located on the south bank of the River Thames in Southwark, London, England. The original Globe Theatre was built in 1599 by the acting company the Lord Chamberlain's Men, of which William Shakespeare was a member. It was destroyed by fire in 1613 but was rebuilt the following year. The reconstructed Globe, known as Shakespeare's Globe, opened in 1997 and is currently a popular tourist destination and a performing arts venue.
