How to Clean the Surface of a Video Game Disc
To fully enjoy your CD and video game disc collections, you will need to keep their surfaces clean of any dust or debris. When dust gets on the surface of a game disc such as a PS3 or Xbox game, it may not work properly and scratches often result, damaging the game. Cleaning the surface of a game disc isn't difficult, but the materials you use are important so as not to scratch the disc.

Hold the game disc with your fingertips, grasping only the outer edges. Don't touch the shiny surface.

Hold the eyeglass lens cleaner about 4 inches from the disc and spray a fine mist over the surface.

Apply the soft side of the velvet material to the moistened surface of the disc.

Wipe gently from the middle of the disc, sweeping outward lightly in a straight line.

Rotate the disc and repeat Step 4 in single sweeps as you rotate the disc several times.
