What is the meaning of lokomotor movements?
Locomotor movements are movements that cause displacement of the whole body while postural movements occur to maintain one’s posture at certain circumstances. During locomotor movements, some part of the body makes and maintain contact to the ground which provides a fixed pivot to push against.
There are five basic locomotor movements that a body can exhibit-
Walking: One foot on the ground at all times
Running-** Both feet off the ground at an instant
Hopping-** Jumping on one foot only
Leaping-** Springing on both feet to land on just one leg
Galumping:-*** Jumping and Landing on any surface.
