In The First Seven Years by Bernard Malamud what does Feld accept about Sobel at the end of story?

In "The First Seven Years" by Bernard Malamud, Feld, a small-time grocer and a father of a seven years old boy, accepts Sobel, the wealthy butcher who wants to marry Feld's daughter Miriam. Feld eventually comes to accept Sobel not just because Sobel is a successful man who could become like a partner, or a brother-in-law he never had. Feld finally accepts him because he realizes Sobel is not someone who would interfere in family business or undermine his authority as the head of the family. Although Feld feels Sobel is arrogant, he recognizes that he is a good match for Miriam and they will live comfortably.
