What were Sherlock young helpers called?

Sherlock Holmes didn't have any "young helpers" in the original stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

However, there are some popular adaptations where he has young companions:

* The Baker Street Irregulars: This group of street urchins appears in several adaptations, including the BBC series "Sherlock" and the movie "Sherlock Holmes." They serve as informants for Sherlock and assist him in his investigations.

* The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes: The Abominable Bride: This special episode of the BBC series features a young woman named Millie, who is essentially Sherlock's protégé.

* The Sherlock Holmes TV series (1984-1991): This series features a young boy named "Billy" who often accompanies Watson on his adventures and learns from Sherlock.

While these are popular adaptations, it's important to note that they are not part of the original Conan Doyle stories. In those books, Sherlock primarily relies on his own deductions and the help of Dr. Watson.
