In the play Macbeth why does hecate seek to destroy Macbeth?

In William Shakespeare's play "Macbeth," Hecate does not seek to destroy Macbeth. Instead, Hecate is a powerful witch who assists the three Weird Sisters in their manipulation of Macbeth. She is not inherently opposed to Macbeth and does not have a personal vendetta against him.
